We prepared Google Ads and Apple Ads to bring new users to SwiTra and observe how they respond. Both channels stopped before we could measure any performance. Google Ads disapproved the ad group, while Apple Ads is waiting for a product page review after we added the requested language materials.
Google Ads: ad group disapproved
Google Ads marked the ad group as not eligible. The reasons shown are its cryptocurrencies and related products and financial services verification policies. Ads from this group cannot run in its current state.
The only fact we can establish right now is that the ad group did not pass the policy review. Because delivery never started, there is no impression, click, or install data to evaluate.
Apple Ads: language review before advertising
Apple Ads found missing language support on the default product page. It asked us to add materials for six languages:
- German (Switzerland)
- German
- French (France)
- Italian
- Dutch
- Swedish
We added the requested language materials in App Store Connect and submitted them for review. The ad can run only after this issue is resolved.
In review since May 12
We submitted the first review on May 12. While waiting, we cancelled and resubmitted it, but the status did not change to In Review until July 8.
- May 12: first submission
- May 27: cancelled and resubmitted
- June 17: cancelled and resubmitted again
- July 8: In Review
- July 22: still In Review
Store sales so far
As of July 22, the total sales shown by each store are 34 on the App Store and 40 on the Play Store, for a combined total of 74.
These are the total sales figures displayed by the stores, not active users or conversions attributed to advertising. Because neither ad channel has started, we cannot interpret the source of these sales as ad performance.
There is nothing more to do right now
This is not a case of ads running without a response. We cannot observe a response because the ads have not been allowed to run. There is no conversion rate or acquisition cost to assess, and no way to observe how users arriving from these ads behave in the product.
For now, we can only wait for Apple's review result and revisit the Google Ads policy requirements. We will not interpret this as ad performance or user response to the product. The experiment has not failed; it has not started.
